Written in Rain

by J'Wellsfaithhopedark nightgrief
It's cold and lonely doing time. God was the only friend I could find. Forsaken by family and so-called friends. Write letters, but no response to my pen. Stand at my door during mail call, hoping for a reply. Disappointed as the guard with the mail passes me by. Wondering why? Maybe I'll get some mail tomorrow. This hope helps me cope with pain and sorrow. Comfort myself with self-deception. Day after day — it's a form of protection. From all the pain i'm hurting with. Gather strength to move forward — learning quickly. As I hunger and thirst for companionship. Everyone's too busy so i'm emotionally indigent. Whatever happened to unconditional love? Betrayal and anger flow through my blood. I want to give up but that's not me. No escape so I cope with misery. Suppressed emotions are explosive material. Combustion, my turmoil turned lyrical. Musical emissions began to seep. Bleeding emotions caused my pen to leak. Silently waiting to release pressure on my brain. Under the power of affliction was I trained. It's only a matter of time until I break these chains, And reveal to the world what was written in rain.
