Evaluation and Judgments

by J'Wellsforgivenessgriefself worth
We be carrying grudges. Acting like prosecutors and judges. We judge people's actions. Convicting them in the courtroom of our minds. Guilty of transgressing and crossing an invisible line. Confined behind the bars of our resentment. On the surface they are free. In our hearts they received a life sentence. The real prisoner is me. My heart became a prison no one can see. Holding on to past hurts is captivity. Forgiveness is the only way to escape this penitentiary.
