A Just Measure

by J'Wellsforgivenessfaithself worth
Feel the weight of who I am. Renewed by the blood of the lamb. Judge not, lest ye be judged. Cast the first stone if you're not covered in mud. A man's righteousness is as filthy rags. So your righteousness, is only fit to be tossed in the trash. I'd rather be a thief dying on the cross, saying, 'Remember me,' Or a sinner beating his chest in misery, Begging to be forgiven, too embarrassed to look at heaven, Than a Pharisee saying, bread eaten in secret is pleasant. A bond servant who seeks to serve, Not to be served. Preach the word as a living example, Embody the Scriptures that carnal feet trample. Some just want a sample, to put a trophy on the mantle. The Spirit consumes lives like a candle. Requesting a crucifixion is too much for some to handle. Leave behind all, to carry your cross. On the sacrificial altar, sometimes living sacrifices get off. Life has a way of testing our relationships. There's a way that seems right, but causes the foot to slip. Which leads to being unprofitable, Like fluids in a handkerchief.
